The Bluedevils used good pitching and timely hitting to take a doubleheader from Bowling Green Academy.
Behind the pitching efforts of Blake Herrin and Ryan Rivette, along with strong hitting performance by Aaron Lee and Brett Tortorich, the Bluedevils got a great start on the season by taking game one by the score of 8 - 2.

Blake Herrin started the game on the mound for the Bluedevils and gave up 2 unearned runs in the second inning for the only runs scored on the Bluedevils in both games. Ryan Rivette relieved him in the 3rd and pitched two scoreless innings to complete the victory. After an uneventful 1 and a half innings, Bowling Green pushed across their two runs in the bottom of the second. The Bluedevils answered in strong fashion by plating 7 runs in the top of the third. PRC closed out the scoring with a single run in the top of the 4th.

Game 2 continued the strong pitching performance as Ramsay Graham, Dustin Dennis and Aaron Lee combined for the shutout. Lee also contributed big time as he hit a leadoff triple in the bottom of the fourth and then in dramatic fashion, stole home to seal the deal for the visiting Bluedevils.
